Our Comprehensive Patient Services

At Decatur Morgan West, we are dedicated to providing a safe supportive, and confidential environment with comprehensive inpatient care for children, adolescents and adults struggling with emotional and mental health challenges. Individuals can receive the treatment needed to stabilize and develop the skills to thrive. Our specialized, multi-disciplinary team utilizes interactive/interpersonal therapies to work with patients in the way they think, feel and behave. Our team also assists with outpatient follow-up appointments post discharge. Those who are not admitted are provided information with outpatient referral listings.

Our intake coordinators are available twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. These trained professionals gather certain health information for a determination by the medical director for appropriate admission, and to arrange outpatient referrals when needed. Emergencies should be handled by calling 911 or one of the crisis numbers listed on this webpage, or by visiting your nearest emergency department any time.

If you are concerned that your loved one is in crisis, call (256) 973-4000 to speak to an Assessment and Referral Coordinator.
